Strava Segment Hunting
There was a time when I used to go cycling for the hell of it. No Garmin, no GPS, no maps, no nothing. Just go out, get lost a couple of times, but just have a few hours by myself, think about nothing and everything.
Now Strava segments have come along and changed everything.
I am so fucking driven to get that segment.
I am sitting here in Natural Bread Company and I have this nervous feeling in my gut as I think about this segment I am thinking of going for tomorrow (if I just hold 500-550 or so for the first minute and then go for it in the final 40 seconds, surely I ll get it?)
It's weird, where did it all change?
And the thing is I don't care if no one sees my segments. I want it. (I used to think I dont get why people play computer games, I think I am like that with sports, just proving to myself I can do it, you know?)
Anyway, let's see if I can smash this segment tomorrow. I need to improve by 5s from the last time I did it to get the KOM back.
